3-Point Specialists Earn Athletes of the Week

Keuka College basketball players Rob Crowley (Attica, N.Y./Attica) and Brittany Schrock (Elmira Lady Express) were selected as Athletes of the Week for the week ending Jan. 30.

Crowley, a senior guard, led Keuka to a 73-68 win over SUNY Morrisville in its lone game this week.  Crowley scored 12 points in only 11 minutes of action off the bench.  He went 4-for-5 from behind the arc while also grabbing two boards.  For the season, Crowley is shooting 57% (13-for-23) from long distance.

Schrock, a junior guard, led Keuka to a 3-0 week against North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) teams while averaging 11 points and four assists a game.  Against the College of St. Elizabeth, she went off for a game-high 21 points while making four 3-pointers and dishing off five assists.  She followed that up with six points and three assists in only eight minutes of action while making 2-of-3 from long range.  In Keuka’s final game of the week, Schrock again did not play much due to the Storm being up by so much, but had six points on 2-of-3 shooting from behind the arc while adding four more assists.  She went 8-for-15 from behind the arc on the week (53%) and 7-for-8 from the free throw line.
